We're late putting this up, but... (thanks for the hint, Bill)

At the time of writing, we're in the midst of the first ESS online festival, NwoHere2020. This event was created after the postponement of the Dublin Summer School 2020, so that at least some sort of shakuahchi event would take place this summer.

It consists of 12 sessions (with extra Robuki) over 4 days. The first dates were 01-02.08.2020, the remaining dates are 08-09.08.2020 (two weekends). Kurahashi Yodo II agreed to be guest teacher from Japan, presenting the first teaching sessions of each weekend. Other teachers were/are:

Véronique Piron
Gunnar Linder
Kiku Day
Jean-François Lagrost
Alcvin Ramos
Thorsten Knaub
Fiore de Mattia
Riley Lee
Marek Matvija
Jose Vargas
Horacio Curti
Nina Haarer
Daniel Lifermann

The organising team includes Jim Franklin, Markus Guhe, Thorsten Knaub, Christophe Gaston, Nina Haarer and Nigel Puttergill, supported by Horacio Curti and Kiku Day.

We received 56 registrations, which indicates a clear need for such events. Accordingly ESS will most likely plan future online events to complement its usual Summer Schools.

We're now at the halfway point; feedback on the fist half has been positive, as we now head for the second weekend.

Further details of the event can be found at

Regards,

Jim Franklin
and the NowHere2020 team
